Mike has an extensive knowledge of both the agricultural and business sector having been a Chartered Accountant in practice for nearly 40 years. 

​

Mike has firsthand experience in the rural sector, he and wife Denise began sheep & beef farming on a property in Knapdale in the early 90’s, before converting to dairy in 2009. 

​

In his spare time Mike is a very keen fisherman, duck hunter and clay target shooter.  He is the current President of the New Zealand Clay Target Association.
